These products are made with a soy-wax blend, instead of a petroleum-based wax, that makes them biodegradable and compostable. They are made with FDA approved chlorine-free paper and 100% post consumer recycled paperboard. Packaging made from unbleached, natural kraft paper versus bleached paper has significant environmental benefits. 21% less wood pulp is used; 30% less energy is used; 10% fewer greenhouse gases are generated; and 46% less waste water is produced.
