  • 10 million tons of trash goes into the ocean every year. The US produces more plastic than any other country in the world. SOURCE

An estimated 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced since the 1950s — Despite this, and the fact that plastic is continuing to be produced, only 9% of all plastic is recycled and just 12% is incinerated.
